Un petit box

And Guusje was our hand model.

Last month I got a nice request from a customer. Whether I could make a wedding ring box in the same shades of purple / ivory white that I used for their wedding certificate book? Of course, great!

How does such a design period look like?
First, some thoughts come up while on my bike, the creative phase.
Second, there is some sketching in my design book.
Next step is to make a prototype and do some thinking about attaching the ribbon. Then an additional test is done with the cover, until I am completely satisfied with the result.
And finally the real box is built and a new product is born!
You won't be able to see the ribbon on the inside of the lid, but neither under the linen on the outside, it's my big secret!
A tiny tag is attached to the ribbon, just large enough to hold a small text.
