These last few months I had to make several beautiful marriage certificate books.
It is nice to see that most of the municipalities are cooperative and lend blank marriage certificates in advance to the couples so I can make a nice marriage certificate book around it.
In case a marriage certificate book is issued with the pages already glued in a booklet and the marital clerk just glues in the official page, I need the whole book to work with.
Occasionally cooperation fails and you get this book handed over by the marital clerk on your wedding day. Quite a difference in weight don't you think?
The same happened to Jeannette and Luuk.
After the wedding ceremony there was still a piece of ribbon left and I was asked to make the marriage certificate book using this piece. This ribbon was used among others in the bridal bouquet. On the inside of the book you can see a fragment of the wedding invitation.
This time no knot in the ribbon, because I decided that this ribbon deserved to be readable. As you can see their initials and the date are imprinted.
On the backside a gold heart is printed with the foil press.
For their mutual parents I had to make a concertina which can hold pictures sized 10x10 cm and also features the same ribbon and the imprinted heart on the backside.
